Alabama Physical Rehabilitation Service was established in 1979 by Jerry Klug, PT, DPT. Jerry started APRS to fill the need for quality physical therapy services in area schools and for home bound individuals. In 1990, the outpatient clinic was opened to provide Jacksonville with local access to outpatient physical therapy. The clinic was expanded in 1995 and now occupies a 7,000 square foot space with private treatment rooms, large gym area and an indoor (94°) therapeutic pool.

Our team is lead by Jerry Klug, owner of APRS, who has more than forty years of experience as a physical therapist. Jerry is a hands-on therapist who works side by side with his staff of physical therapy assistants. Each therapist or therapist assistant specializes in certain areas which include but are not limited to pediatrics, injured workers, athletes, lymphedema, older adults, hands, incontinence and women's health.
